Job description

Duties: The Services Assistant provides support to the School of Design's Operations and Planning office including, but not limited to, receiving and distributing mail, packages, and materials; assembling materials, troubleshooting minor mechanical and trades issues, reporting building issues to Facilities Services, daily maintenance and repair to Makerbot suite, lifting and moving heavy objects/materials, providing event/classroom support, and project work as assigned. The Service Assistant reports to the Director of Operations and Planning. Regular overtime opportunities are available, often on short notice.

Qualifications: A High School Diploma or GED and 1 year to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. The Service Assistant must be customer service oriented and be able to use standard tools, lift 50 pounds unassisted, and occasionally move equipment between 100-500 pounds. Must be able to work independently
