Duties: The Penn GSE Education Entrepreneurship program is an executive-style Master's program built at the intersection of education, business and entrepreneurship, for students interested in creating 21st century education innovations. The accelerated program runs multiple student cohorts and follows a ten-course curriculum. The Administrative Coordinator position is part of GSE's Education Entrepreneurship program staff. The Coordinator supports the day-to-day logistics of running the graduate degree program, under the supervision of the Program Manager.
Position responsibilities include assistance with day-to-day program operations including event planning, scheduling and logistics, purchasing and processing expenses, technology trouble shooting, and working with internal and external vendors for the acquisition of items such as course materials, classrooms, student hotel lodging, and meals.
The Coordinator must be available to work three extended weekends each semester and an eight- to ten-day summer intensive (schedule may vary from year to year).
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and at least 3 to 5 years of experience strongly preferred. High School diploma and at least 5 to 7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
The successful candidate will have work experience of increasing responsibility preferably in areas such as program administration, student engagement and support, and/or project management. Experience working with digital media and a variety of tech platforms is strongly preferred. We also encourage candidates to apply with prior experience and/or familiarity with Penn's business/financial processes.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record as a self-starter. He/she will have a history of working effectively with diverse constituencies and as a collaborator in the workplace. The successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently on new, fast-track projects. Interest in working on teams in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment with diverse constituencies is required for this position.
