Primary Function of Organization Unit: The Department of Business Management in the Poole College of Management houses faculty specializing in areas of marketing, finance, supply chain management, and information technology. Faculty works closely with our centers and initiatives, including the Center for Innovation Management Studies, Technology Entrepreneurship Commercialization, and the Supply Chain Resource Cooperative. Essential Job Duties: The Department of Business Management is seeking a full-time Lecturer to teach business analytics and statistics at the undergraduate and graduate level. Courses are delivered either online or in a traditional classroom setting. The teaching load is three to four sections per semester. Optional summer teaching may also be available for additional compensation.
Minimum Education/Experience: Master's degree or Ph.D. in statistics or related field preferred; experience in teaching statistics.
Department Required Skills: Strong commitment to excellence in teaching is expected. Significant knowledge of statistics, data analysis, and data analytics and their application to business problems is required.
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education: An MBA and/or business experience is desirable. Also desirable is evidence of high-quality teaching through, for example, teaching evaluations and letters of recommendations. Previous teaching experience in online courses is also preferred. Experience in big data analysis and analytics would be desirable
