Instructor Interdisciplinary Honors Program - Non Tenure Track

Job Description: Loyola University Chicago's Interdisciplinary Honors Program invites applications for an instructor beginning in the 2018-2019 academic year. This is a non tenure track appointment (3 year, renewable term). Requirements include a Ph.D. in hand by August 1, 2018. The successful candidate will be principally responsible for teaching our first year seminar -- the Western Intellectual Traditions. Additional experience teaching a course in American or European Studies is desirable. The first year seminar is a team-taught, interdisciplinary year-long course in Western literature, history, politics, art, theology, and philosophy modeled after great books programs. It consists of a large lecture (3 credit hours) and small discussion sections (3 credit hours); students earn 6 credit hours each semester.
