Duties: This position leads strategic financial planning for the Wharton School, including responsibility for the School's approximate $500 million annual operating budget, long-range strategic financial plans (including cash planning and utilization of restricted funds), and strategic projects aimed at enhancing the School's financial health. Also responsible for oversight of Wharton's tuition revenue (approximately $250 million) and collaborative programs with other Penn schools, and working with the Dean's Office, Vice Deans, Department Chairs, and Business Administrators regarding ongoing financial management of their departments. This person will have full management responsibility for two senior financial analysts, and indirect management responsibility for three additional analysts, a Business Manager, and approximately 40 business administrators.
Qualifications: A Master's Degree or more and 5 years to 7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. MBA preferred, CPA optional.
Candidate must have extensive experience in budgeting and forecasting for a higher education institution. Experience supervising others required. Experience in long-term strategic planning for a large educational institution preferred.
