Duties: The Wharton School Department of External Affairs at the University of Pennsylvania seeks an individual with excellent organization and communication skills to manage high level donor engagement and cultivation efforts. This position's role is to sustain positive and mutually-rewarding relations between Wharton and its most significant philanthropic donors; oversee all administrative aspects of the capital campaign cabinet; be a strategy partner for campaign activity; maintain ongoing and active networking with internal and external constituencies. This is a full-time position reporting to the Senior Director, Principal Giving.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Providing strategic oversight, in concert with the senior director, on all aspects of the principal giving program.
* Serving as a point of contact for campaign volunteers, including scheduling and devising agenda for meetings, and developing and tracking key metrics for this group.
*Working collaboratively with key partners including the research and data teams and donor relations and development communication program staff on principal giving prospect pipelines and stewardship and donor relations strategies for campaign volunteers and principal giving donors. Devise and track key metrics for these programs.
*Partnering with Associate Director of Board Relations on developing consistent strategies for engagement and recognition of key school volunteer leaders.
* Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and 5 years to 7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Previous experience in higher education (or a comparably complex organization), in development, stewardship, or advancement services or related field is desired. Previous experience interacting with donors or other high net worth individuals is required. Most possess excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills. Must be well-organized, motivated, exercise good judgement, solve problems, balance multiple tasks, and perform well under pressure and within time constraints with a high degree of accuracy and diplomacy. The ideal candidate will demonstrate good interpersonal skills and have the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information. Experience working with complex database is preferred. Must be willing to travel and work on occasional nights and weekends. A valid driver's license is required.
