Job description

Duties: The Global Initiatives Fellow assumes a critical role on the Penn Global team. Penn Global provides strategic direction for Penn's global endeavors with a focus on efficient investment of university resources for global activities. Reporting to the Associate Director, Global Initiatives, the Global Initiatives Fellow will be responsible for facilitating a number of projects in the global initiatives portfolio. Duties include, but are not limited to, initiating and developing reports, briefings, and agendas, conducting research and data analyses, providing event support, supporting visits by foreign delegations and partners, and supporting communication and outreach efforts. The Global Fellow will also manage funding initiatives to support research and engagement, monitoring global engagement on campus, and tracking ongoing initiatives and issues. The Fellow will support the Global Initiatives staff as needed.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree required with 1 to 2 of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Interest in international relations, international education, and global programming as demonstrated through course of study and/or work experience is highly encouraged. Demonstrated interest and experience in China, India, and other key regions welcomed. Experience in a fast-paced office and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines; demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively; advanced knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office Suite; excellent customer service skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong organizational skills; knowledge of Penn preferred.
