Position Summary: The Family and Children's Resource Program (FCRP), part of the Jordan Institute for Families at the UNC Chapel Hill School of Social Work, is currently accepting applications for four Training/Education Specialist positions. These positions are full time (1.0 FTE) in the EHRA Non-Faculty track and are dependent on grant funding. The Training/Education Specialist(s) will report to Ms. Lane Cooke, Program Coordinator for FCRP, and will be responsible for development, implementation and delivery of curricula and instructional programs (both in person, classroom and in an online environment) with a focus on topics relevant to child welfare issues. This educational outreach will be targeted primarily to the unique needs of public and private social services and foster care agencies. Salary is competitive and will be commensurate with experience.

Education Requirements: Candidates must possess a master's degree in social work, or a related field.

Qualification and Experience: Experience in curriculum development and training, and a minimum of two years' experience in human services practice preferred. Familiarity with community service, the human services system in North Carolina and child welfare practice will enhance the application. The ability to work under broad direction with considerable latitude is expected. Classroom training events are held statewide and the ability to travel to regional training sites is required. Applicants who can work autonomously from satellite or home-based sites will be considered; particularly in Eastern North Carolina. Targeted areas include: Fayetteville, Greenville, Kinston, Wilmington, and Goldsboro.
