Position Summary: The Division of Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy in the Eshelman School of Pharmacy at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill is recruiting for two full-time, tenure-track faculty positions. We are seeking outstanding individuals with expertise in pharmaceutical policy, comparative effectiveness, pharmacoepidemiology, pharmacoeconomics, decision modeling, risk communication / decision making, or clinical informatics. The Eshelman School of Pharmacy an internationally recognized leader in pharmacy practice, education, and research the School as an active PharmAlliance with Monash University in Melbourne, Australia, and University College London. The School is home to a prestigious Campbell Mentoring Program for junior faculty and the Eshelman Institute for Innovation. We offer competitive start-up packages for incoming faculty and faculty research programs benefit from multiple interdisciplinary centers, programs, and databases at UNC, including the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, the North Carolina Translational and Clinical Sciences Institute (NC TraCS), Sheps Center for Health Services Research and the Center for Health Equity Research. Collaborations are also encouraged with other Research Triangle institutions such as the Research Triangle Institute (RTI), local pharmaceutical companies, Duke University, and NC State University.
Education Requirements: Doctoral degree in health economics, health services research, pharmacoeconomics, pharmacoepidemiology decision sciences, health communication, clinical informatics, or related field.
Qualification and Experience: - Successful applicants will have a record of peer-reviewed publications, and evidence of research funding commensurate with position rank. - Motivation and skills to translate scientific discoveries into practice and policy through innovative partnerships with health system leaders, policy makers and community liaisons. - Beyond maintaining an extramurally funded research program, contribute to the Division's graduate and professional educational programs as well as the overall mission of the School. - The ability to participate in a collegial environment that fosters ongoing collaboration with local community partners, healthcare partners, and faculty from a wide variety of disciplines is essential.
