Duties: This position is responsible for the overall coordination of all administrative aspects of the PennGSE Urban Education program, an executive-model masters and certification program in partnership with TeachForAmerica with approximately 90 students and 25+ courses a semester. Reporting to the Program Director, this position has responsibility for the day-to-day logistics of running the program.

Responsibilities include administrative coordination in the following areas: admissions, recruitment, students services, faculty and mentor communications and support, event planning, room reservation scheduling, catering, preparation for course materials and ordering books, coordination of salaries, reimbursements, and all internal files. All of these responsibilities combine to ensure consistency in the operational functions of the program including the successful facilitation of class sessions and special events.

This position requires availability to work one evening each week.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree strongly preferred. HS diploma and 5 to 7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Ability to work closely and effectively in varied professional capacities with students, regular and part time staff in various operational areas (admissions, financial aid, registrar, billing, facilities) from PennGSE, the University, and our TFA partner Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and good verbal and written communication skills.

This position requires availability to work one evening each week.

Knowledge of and experience in higher education institutions is strongly preferred.
