Job Responsibilities:

  1. Assistant Unit Manageroperates a retail store location within the agency's established policy toachieve budgeted revenue and expense. Effectively runs the store in the absence of Unit Manager.
  2. Recruit and trainretail employees and material processors in retail operation procedures. Recommends and/or administers discipline toemployees as required.
  3. Schedule employees toachieve optimum customer service, merchandise display, store security andexpense control.
  4. Order merchandise tostock store to achieve budget.
  5. Maintain records ofsales data and bank deposits.
  6. Enforce sales policiesand procedures and employee policies and procedures.
  7. Assist donors withdonation and provide receipts.
  8. Maintain store premisesand grounds in compliance with agency safety and housekeeping practices.
  9. Supervise and trainemployees in backroom processing and quality control procedures.
  10. Plan attractivemerchandise displays that make effective use of sales area.
  11. Attend marketing salesmeetings. Schedule store employeemeetings as necessary.
  12. Other duties asassigned.

Job Requirements:
  1. High school graduate orequivalent with courses in Business and Marketing.
  2. Two years experience ina management/supervisory capacity or equivalent.
  3. Able to supervise andtrain in shipping/receiving functions, stock duties, merchandising, cashieringand customer service retail.
  4. Willing to travel and/or relocate.
