Nebraska Wesleyan University invites applications for a full-time two-year visiting assistant professor with expertise in scenic design, beginning August 2018 with the possibility of an extension for a third year.  Duties include: teaching two courses in area of specialization and serving as the primary designer, engineer and executor of all Theatre program productions, including: communication with technical director in supervision of set construction, painting, load-in and strike activities, as well as supervision of student designers. Knowledge and experience of lighting and sound design also preferred.


Terminal degree or MA with significant professional theatre experience required, academic and professional experience preferred. The ability to work collaboratively and maintain a strong positive, professional approach to theatre training is essential.
