Administrative Assistant in the School of the Arts, Dean's Office

Description:
This part-time 20 hr/week employee will serve as the principal keeper of the School of the Arts Dean's Office calendar including SOA scheduling needs for the dean and SOA staff. This includes some scheduling for the new program in Comedic Arts.
The employee will assist with tasks associated with scheduling which can include (but are not limited to) making room reservations, ordering catering, securing needed media/AV equipment, and arranging travel and lodging.
This employee will also play a general but vital supportive role in the clerical administration of the dean's office and its departments and programs. This includes attending to guests (in person and on the phone), filing, and purchasing.

Campus Location: Boston Campus

Required Knowledge:
Experience working in professional office environment.
Experience managing other people’s calendars.
Scheduling multi-person meetings.
Good interpersonal communication skills.
Strong multi-tasking skills.
Microsoft Office.

Preferred/Desirable Knowledge:
Bachelors degree Some experience working in an academic setting. Some knowledge of clerical procedures and systems such as filing and record keeping. Some knowledge of principles and practices of basic office management.
