NCE Assessment and Data Analytics Director
The NCE Assessment and Data Analytics Director is responsible for leading NCE’s assessment initiatives, and managing the complex data analysis and reporting needed to support the National College of Education. This position reports to the Dean through the Associate Dean, and is responsible for leading College assessment and data initiatives. He/she is directly involved in support for CAEP and manages the collection, organization, analysis and dissemination of information in an effort to support strong assessment systems and data-driven decision-making.
Serves as the leader and primary resource for development and utilization of assessment for program, College and University purposes. Working in close collaboration with NCE leadership supports development and implementation of assessment systems across all Programs, including LiveText, D2L and other College data systems.
Leads/responsible for NCE data analytics and reporting processes, including but not limited to: collaborating with NCE leadership and others to support best practices in assessment, utilizing multiple databases and business intelligence tools to accurately report data (on faculty, students, academic programs and related-topics); translating data into actionable information that inform financial, program and college decisions. Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates program quality, instructional and student impact data and systems within the context of end user needs, Provides support for College data collection and dissemination efforts, including information related to student pipeline and success, program health and economics, teaching and learning, and impact.
Develops data visualization tools and dashboards to effectively capture and communicate results of analysis and to provide mentorship to faculty and staff.
Provides project management support for the development of CAEP self assessment reporting, site visits and other reporting, and provides direction to technical staff regarding systems utilization (LiveText and other), and provides supervision and support to data team and working groups.
Master’s degree with 5-7 years of previous experience.
Proven experience and educational qualifications related to educational and program assessment, data collection and utilization.
Experience in postsecondary or K12 program assessment and accreditation role.
Strong analytic and diagnostic skills, ability to work with faculty and staff at all levels.
Project management acumen and proven initiative/results orientation.
