Department Chair: Economics
The Department of Economics at San Diego State University is recruiting for one position at the associate or full professor level in any field. The successful candidate will serve as Department Chair, providing visionary leadership and oversight to all aspects of the Economics Department. Preference will be given to fields in applied microeconomics with a policy focus. Teaching responsibilities will be based on the individual’s background and interests in any field of economics. Salary will be commensurate with experience and the California State University salary schedule.
- Ph.D. in Economics;
- Excellent and recognized record of scholarship, teaching, professional service and leadership commensurate with the rank of full professor;
- Commitment to supporting and enhancing diversity among students, faculty and staff;
- Evidence of successful engagement with alumni and donors in development activities; and
- Effective communication, leadership and organizational skills.
