Job Description

Extensive travel required, up to 90%

Hard Skills

o Ability to read and interpret blueprints

o Strong mechanical skills, including hydraulics, pneumatics, lubrication and coolant systems.

o Competent in machine control and interface diagnostics and repair.

o Strong background in Fanuc PLC and CNC (30i) systems.

o Strong background in Siemens PLC and CNC (840D) systems.

o Must have complete set of own tools appropriate to complete any required repairs. Heller specific special tools will be provided.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Service: (SV.PM.001)

o Provide troubleshooting for mechanical & electrical repair of machines and machining process issues over the phone with customer.

o Provide troubleshooting for mechanical & electrical repair of machines and machining process issues at customer sites.

o Analyze in detail complex mechanical and electrical machine and automation components for failure modes.

o Repair and/or rebuild major mechanical assemblies either in-house or at customer's facility.

o Repair electrical and machine controls issues at customer's site.

o Support the transportation of tooling and spare parts to customer site.

o Discuss and diagnose issues onsite with customer

o Request spare parts through Aftermarket Sales group

o Thoroughly document repairs on service reports

o Track and document expenses on expense reports

Soft Skills

o Must have excellent planning skills

o Must be able to manage time effectively

o Communicate effectively with customer maintenance techs, customer plant engineers and management.

o Thorough understanding of HUS processes: Service Call (SV.PM.001)

o Must be able to search the HUS job folders and Matrix to access drawing and parts information.

o Microsoft Office Product application capability (specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point)
