Specialist - Outreach-Fixed Term
The Office of K-12 Outreach, in the College of Education, invites applicants to apply for the position of Specialist-Outreach to facilitate school turnaround conversations with K-12 district and school leaders to assess systemic needs and identify transformational strategies, including partnerships, that promote improved student achievement.
Primary job duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: facilitate conversations with district and school leaders as they work to transform systems in support of improved student achievement. Assist with the identificationof critical issues which impede student achievement and guide planning and implementation of district and building reform strategies. Facilitate and support MSU leadership development initiatives designed to focus time and effort on school staff reflection and school improvement goals. Assist school leader in goal setting activities: gather and analyze data, set individual goals and monitor growth through mid/end year progress assessments. Collaborate with and coach teach leaders and others to ensure the delivery of high-quality professional learning for school and district staff.Required Degree
Master's degree in education, education policy or related field. Minimum of five years of leadership and operations experience in areas such as education reform, school funding, governance, instructional support, leadership coaching, teaching or central office services.Desired Qualifications
