Duties of Position: The Post-Doctoral Fellow provides direct psychological services to students under the supervision of the full-time Psychologist.  Services provided include brief psychotherapy, crisis intervention, assessment, case management, consultative services and outreach.  The Post-Doc maintains expertise in the delivery of psychological services.  The Post-Doc provides secondary supervision for the Doctoral Externs.  The Post-Doc is expected to remain current in the practice of clinical psychology and to provide services in complete adherence to all relevant ethical standards, laws, statutes and best practices of the discipline.


Characteristic Responsibilities of Position:

Provides direct mental health services under the supervision of the full-time Psychologist

Maintains appropriate records

Provides assistance to the Psychologist with clinical administrative functions and assignments as needed

Receives individual supervision weekly and group supervision in fall and spring semesters

Serves as secondary supervisor to Doctoral Externs under the supervision of the Psychologist

May be assigned special projects by the Psychologist and/or Assistant Provost/Dean of Student Development

Functions within the guidelines of Student Development philosophy and toward the fulfillment of annual and long-term goals as outlined in the Student Development model

Must have a completed doctoral degree and be a graduate of an APA-accredited program in clinical or counseling psychology by the start date of the position

Requirements: Must have completed APA-accredited doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology by August 17, 2018.  Must also be eligible to accrue hours towards licensure on August 17, 2018.
