The Assistant Director oversees daily operations and supports continuous development of student success programs through Academic Advising (AA) with the aim of enhancing academic achievement, retention, and timely graduation of undergraduate students. The Assistant Director supervises graduate students and undergraduate mentors to implement student success initiatives, provides academic success coaching for an assigned roster of students, and supports team implementation of employee development programs to enhance campus-wide academic advising. Reporting to the Director of Academic Advising, the Assistant Director serves in a primary leadership role in AA to support student success programs through collaboration with Academic Success Coaches, academic departments, and academic support services.
- Master's degree required.
- One year of supervisory experience (e.g., staff or student leaders).
- One year of program development/management experience.
- Academic coaching, advising, and/or peer mentoring experience.
