Posting Summary:
The School of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Virginia seeks candidates for a Research Assistant position within the Dean's Office. The incumbent will support the operations of the Post Award Research Administration Office.

Duties include completing financial reconciliations and other financial services, creating financial projections and reporting, data entry and administrative services associated with research grants and contracts. Additionally, the incumbent will be responsible for preparing and reconciling monthly recon reports for research accounts and assisting faculty with expense allocation along with other administrative requirements. The successful candidate will resolve questions and assist supervisors and faculty with projecting future expenses and report preparation as needed.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to work collaboratively as well as independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision, communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, interact with faculty and staff, negotiate successful resolutions to various situations, and demonstrate attention to detail.

Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of applications is required, with preference for those candidates who have experience with UVA's integrated system modules and UBI reporting tools.
