General Summary: The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Student Assistant in University Relations. The student will provide departmental staff support with various projects and administrative duties.

Job Duties & Responsibilities: The student will:
  • Master calendar check and filter UNG public events to all local news outlets, track UNG mentions in several local news publications.
  • Perform basic administrative office duties such as file, sort, stock, and organize.
  • Assist in Commencement operations.
  • Research various topics as needed from departmental staff, provides staff support on various projects.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Must be trustworthy,dependable, and detail-oriented
  • Have an understanding and experience working in a professional environment
  • Possess administrative skills and knowledge of basic Microsoft Office programs, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Must be able to multi-task, take on various projects, handle the front desk and answer phones when needed.


Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker and Federal Work Study eligible.
