Job Summary The individual's role is responsible for conducting horticultural research related to controlled environment agriculture (plant physiological and greenhouse studies), assisting graduate students and visiting scientists, and training undergraduate students in the laboratory. In addition, this person will support the proper operation of a laboratory including maintaining the cleanliness of the laboratory, keeping lab records and data, ensuring equipment in proper working order, and coordinating purchases for the research group. The technician also will be responsible for maintaining chemical inventory, basic greenhouse maintenance, and coordination with University of Georgia facilities for any repairs/upgrades. http://www.caes.uga.edu/departments/horticulture.html Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree and some related experience or equivalent combination required.
