Position Summary: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in International Relations. Pursue an active research agenda leading to publications of peer-reviewed articles and books in appropriate venues. Provide service to the university community and professional organizations.

Minimum Preferred Qualifications: The Department of Political Science invites applications at the Assistant Professor (tenure-track) level in International Relations beginning August 16, 2018. A completed Ph.D. in political science is required for appointment. The successful candidate should have a strong research agenda with a clear plan for peer-reviewed scholarly publications. The position is open with regard to theoretical approach. We welcome applications from scholars using any combination of positivist, normative, critical, formal, or interpretive methods. Applications from candidates with an ability to teach international organizations, international political economy, human rights, and international law are especially welcome. In addition, we are interested in candidates who are prepared to contribute to teaching research methods. The candidate would also be expected to take an active role in the department's graduate program.
