Position Summary: Teach graduate courses in the Master of Public Administration program, as well as undergraduate courses in public policy and administration. Pursue an active research agenda leading to publication of peer-reviewed articles and books in appropriate venues. Provide service to the University community and professional organizations.
Minimum Preferred Qualifications: The Department of Political Science at the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, AL, invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level beginning August 16, 2018. The successful candidate will become a core faculty member in the Master of Public Administration Program, and will also be expected to teach undergraduate public policy and administration courses. Although applicants from all disciplines of public administration who demonstrate excellence in research and teaching are encouraged to apply, we are particularly interested in those with teaching and research interests in either public budgeting, human resources, or quantitative methods. A completed Ph.D. in public administration, public policy, political science, or related discipline is required for appointment at the level of Assistant Professor.
