Full-time tenure-eligible position in East Asian history. Research specialization is open. In addition to upper level courses in their area of expertise, applicants must be able to teach introductory world history courses or other, innovative 100-level courses in their field which will also contribute to our general education program (http://www.ithaca.edu/icc/) and attract students from across campus. Preference will be given to candidates who are qualified to teach a survey-level course on Chinese history. Position/Job Qualifications
Successful candidates should demonstrate a commitment to undergraduate teaching as well as scholarly achievement. Ph.D. in History or related field (such as area studies with a strong historical foundation) must be completed by the time of appointment.
