Degree and Area of Specialization:
A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably with a focus in a healthcare-related field. Students graduating in December 2017 may also be considered.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Experience in a clinical healthcare setting or clinical research is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to successfully lead/manage/coordinate collaborative projects is preferred.
Record of success in working across disciplines, with a variety of faculty is preferred.
The Precision Medicine Molecular Tumor Board (PMMTB) Coordinator will join the UW Carbone Cancer Center (UWCCC) and report directly to the Assistant Director of Translational Research Services, to support the UWCCC's Precision Medicine Molecular Tumor Board (PMMTB). The primary purpose of the PMMTB is to collect and analyze patient information in the context of the biology of the cancer, develop treatment recommendations based upon clinical characteristics and molecular data and analyze how well a treatment worked. The secondary purpose of the PMMTB is to coordinate a precision oncology database and research at the cancer center and across the state. The PMMTB Coordinator position will interface with UW Hospital and Clinics (UWHC) oncology patients, UWHC, UW and UWCCC personnel and a UW referral network. The selected candidate must be self-directed, demonstrate superior oral, written and interpersonal skills, the ability to multi-task, outstanding organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment across organizational units.
Attention to detail, time management and excellent organizational skills will be critical to the success of this position.
