Position Description

Advertised Job Summary

Manages and plans comprehensive student support services for all graduate students including, but not limited to, recruitment, application, admission, development of programs of study, retention support and front-line customer services in consultation with the Assistant Dean for Graduate Studies and Executive Director of Student Affairs.

Manages the execution of Student Affairs event activities to include information sessions, orientations, ceremonies, and CON events as needed.

Manages and coordinates data and information systems for Office of Student Affairs including the maintenance of accurate aggregate data used for university reports, strategic planning, and student evaluation with proactive distribution of data reports to appropriate administrators.

In collaboration with Academic Affairs System Manager, prepare regular data and assessment reports as necessary to track utilization and impact of student services, analyze trends, and propose modifications to enhance student success.

Analyzes processes involving the Offices of Academic Affairs and Student Affairs to make recommendation to the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Executive Director of Student Affairs for changes to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Directly responsible for advising graduate nursing students as needed.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)

Master's degree and 5 years related program experience, or bachelor's degree and 7 years related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree is preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Ability to interpret and institute College and University policies and procedures with discretion. Skills to understand and carry out complex oral and written instructions. Requires experience in the use of Microsoft Office, Self Service Carolina, GMAS, BDMS, IMS and CON CENTRAL database. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and the general public and communicate effectively.
