The Records and Property Officer serves in the Support Services division of the University of Kentucky Police Department.

The Records and Property Officer will be responsible for maintaining police records, completing open records requests, maintaining evidence and property, managing cases, and analyzing reports.

The Records and Property Officer will primarily work day shift but may be asked to occasionally assist shift for coverage and occasionally work nights, weekends, holidays, and other special assignments serving as a Police Officer or Telecommunications Officer (depending on certification).

Police Certification or Telecommunicator Certification through Kentucky Law Enforcement Council(KLEC).

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and sit for extended periods of time.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

LINK/NCIC, MS Windows OS (Word, Excel, Access, etc.), Multi Phone Line Operation, Excellent Writing and Oral Communication Skills.
