Oglesby Union Student Activities Center
Oversees the daily operation and customer service for the Student Activities Center. This includes the hiring of OPS and work study student staff, and customer service training, travel for Student Activities, assisting with RSO recognition process, purchasing of office supplies, making deposits, record expenditures and reimbursements for budgets, oversee locknetics swipe access, liaison to CTI for computers and software needs, cashing handling for various office programs, and ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
Provides administrative support for annual student organization registration/re-registration process; evaluates and makes procedural improvements.
Prepares and disseminates weekly updates of RSOs for offices and departments who provide resources and support specifically designed for them including SGA, Union Guest Services, and Union maintenance.
Communicates University and Union policies to student organizations.
Refers RSO members to University Resources, including faculty, staff, and other students.
Greets and provides organization and activities information to students, parents, vendors, and other visitors.
Provides administration/secretarial support (typing, preparation of travel and requisition forms, travel arrangements, work orders, etc.) for the Student Activities Center staff and programs. Oversees use of equipment, copier, computers, etc.
Makes revenue deposits for sales and other revenue streams
Assists with the interviewing, training, and scheduling of OPS/Workstudy students. Assists with the collection of Pay and Leave Reports, etc. for OPS and College Workstudy reviews for accuracy.
Maintains office files, supplies, & equipment. and other related duties as required.
High School diploma or equivalency and two years experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to two years.
Experience with customer service.
Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.
Computer skills to include experience with Microsoft Office Suite or comparable software.
Experience with basic filing practices to include numeric and alphabetic systems.
Knowledge of collection and/or cash handling procedures and ability to perform monetary transactions.
Ability to maintain accurate records and retrieve files from active or archive sources.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related University policies, procedures, principles, and practices.
This is an USPS (University Support Personnel System) position.
