Office of Inspector General Services
This position is primarily responsible for receiving, assessing, and investigating allegations of fraud, waste, abuse, or other wrongdoing reported to or discovered by the OIGS in compliance with the Quality Standards for Investigations found in the Principles and Standards for Offices of Inspector General as published by the Association of Inspectors General.
Position manages the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation (CFA) Inspectors General accreditation process for the OIGS. Including providing proofs required for re-accreditation and is responsible for the development, revision, and maintenance of written investigative directives.
The individual in this position may be requested to make determinations of Whistle-blower status, may work with law enforcement if the investigation is criminal, must be able to make recommendations for solutions to weaknesses observed in internal controls, and will participate in other assignments as needed. All work is performed in accordance with appropriate professional standards including Quality Standards for Investigations found in the Principles and Standards for Offices of Inspector General and the Institute of Internal Auditors International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.
Bachelor's degree and two years of experience related to the duties of this position. .
Experience conducting investigations, audits, or similar types of reviews.
Experience working with confidential or sensitive information.
Strong interpersonal and oral communications skills.
Strong written communication and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and work in a demanding fast-paced environment.
Familiar with appropriate professional standards such as Quality Standards for Investigations found in the Principles and Standards for Offices of Inspectors General, ACFE, or IIA.
Higher education experience

Anticipated Salary Range
$50,000-$60,000 is commensurate with experience, qualifications, and salary history.
This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.
Criminal Background Check
This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check, to include fingerprinting.
