Reporting directly to the President, the Provost will foster academic and research excellence, an environment of open communication and engaged governance, decisive and consistent leadership, interdisciplinary collaboration, and efficient resource management. The Provost will embody the essential values of academic integrity and civility in a collegial community of learners and scholars and will have an extraordinary opportunity to lead the academic and operational areas of the University. The Provost will be instrumental in furthering Duquesne’s national reputation for academic and research excellence as outlined in the new University strategic plan. The Provost also serves as the chief executive officer in the absence of the President.
