Job Description:

The Department of Music at Wittenberg University invites application for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Music at the assistant rank. The successful applicant will conduct the University's choral ensembles, teach undergraduate choral and general music education courses, and supervise student teachers. Additional teaching assignments will be determined according to the needs of the department and the candidate's strengths.  Duties will include planning and conducting an annual choir tour and promoting the choral program on a local, regional, and national level, participating in recruitment, and mentoring students. Ongoing, individual scholarly and creative activity as well as service to the university is expected.

Requirements:

A doctorate degree required. Qualified candidates should have 1-3 years of successful K-12 and university/college teaching experience.
