Primary Responsibilities:
  • Managing field assignments including completion of open service requests and operator control systems training requirements for projects, coordinating with Project Managers
  • Ensures service job paperwork is complete and correct obtaining client acceptance as required
  • Performs equipment commissioning (start-up) of industrial and municipal water treatment equipment
  • Capable or supervising and/or completing equipment installations, investigative tests, repairs and overhauls if required
  • Performing pre-service job consultations and site visits
  • Completing the documentation of all installations, inspections, maintenance, repair work, including failures and root cause analysis
  • Providing requested paperwork materials to project management, sales, administration, and customers
  • Communicating opportunities and recommendations for modification or improvements to assure optimum efficiency of products, equipment, and personnel
  • Develops models and methods to improve mechanical systems and/or controls integration
  • Performs factory testing as required to prove mechanical and electrical design and/or programs as directed
  • Assists and/or develops new service business opportunities including providing job quotations for aftermarket services

Position Qualifications Requirements/Preferences:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 5 years' experience with control system designs and programming, media filters, ion exchange, and membranes
  • Experience with membrane systems including NF, MF, UF and RO and Water Treatment equipment strongly desired
  • Strong mechanical knowledge, including pumps, valves, instrumentation and piping
  • PLC knowledge with required strengths of understanding the level of engineering in order to accurately troubleshoot
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including word, excel
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to operate remotely from the main office with minimum supervision
  • Excellent judgment in customer relations and managing company resources
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Working Conditions:
  • Working in both a quiet office environment as well as a client water/waste treatment plant facilities
  • Requires up to 65% out of office travel with 30% of that overnight
