Learning Assessment Assistant (Part-Time)

Description:
The part-time Learning Assessment Assistant performs routine day-to-day tasks in support of Learning Assessment operations. This person is responsible for organized and detailed monitoring and communication tasks, and assisting with events. In this position the person will also conduct basic research for special projects, and assist with information gathering and reporting.

Required Knowledge:
High School diploma. Ability to operate a computer and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel software Ability to operate and troubleshoot a printer and a fax machine Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills

Preferred/Desirable Knowledge:
Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program, especially one related to education, teaching, learning assessment, instructional design

Required Prior Work Experience:
2-3 years working in an office environment, or 2-3 years pursuing a college degree

Job Duties:
  • Assist with organization and maintenance of information and data related to assessment of student learning in all academic departments, and the Institute for Liberal Arts and Interdisciplinary Studies.
  • Conduct research and gather information and statistics for annual reports, surveys and presentations. Assist with the production and maintenance of year-end reports. Perform number and text gathering, cleaning, and formatting text for reports. ?
  • Schedule meetings, book meeting rooms and assist with and monitor room set-up and conditions for consultations, committee meetings and workshops. Perform basic troubleshooting with presentation computers and equipment and submit tickets to the IT help desk as necessary. Handle ordering, delivery, billing and payment of catering services.
  • Monitor conditions in the library’s public facilities, staff areas and storage areas by conducting regular walk-throughs; Submit work orders and follow up with facilities staff as necessary. Maintain inventory of office supplies; place orders with the Acquisitions and Budget Manager as necessary. Provide assistance and support for library projects and events
