Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Manager will assist in marketing planning and audience development for Temple University. The Marketing Manager will work closely with members of the Strategic Marketing and Communications team to build a variety of marketing strategies including, but not limited to: enhancing the Temple brand and reputation nationally, increasing alumni engagement, and increasing prospective student awareness and engagement. Performs other duties as assigned.Required Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Marketing or other related field. Four (4) years of directly related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Required Skills & Abilities: * Proactive, great initiative, highly motivated, with a continued willingness to develop new skills. * Critical thinker who will push the envelope and recommend new and better ways of accomplishing University goals * Experience in identifying target audiences in order to develop key messages and recommend communication vehicles that best suit each audience. * Superior communication and interpersonal skills. * Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy of work. * Demonstrated ability to effectively and collaboratively work as part of a cross-functional team. * Superior organizational skills - must be able to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines * Excellent project management, analytic, communication and diplomacy skills * Must be able to work well under pressure and be proactive. * Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills including the ability to establish cooperative working relationships with supervisors, colleagues and campus partners. * Ability to attend staff events as needed (including occasional nights and weekends). * Proficiency in all standard computer applications, including Microsoft Office products, particularly Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Preferred: * Master's degree.
