Job Summary/Basic Function: The College of Education & Human Development is seeking candidates for non-tenure-track, part-time adjunct faculty positions in the College of Education for spring 2018 and/or fall 2018. The successful candidates will teach undergraduate education courses in the area of Curriculum and Instruction. Quality performance will be expected in teaching. The candidates must have college or university teaching experience and a Master's degree with at least 18 hours in Curriculum & Instruction. Preference will be given to applicants who have a doctorate or relevant professional certification.

Work Hours: Flexible to suit course schedule. Teaching assignments may include day, night, or weekend classes.

Special Instructions to Applicants: Texas A&M University-San Antonio (TAMU-SA) is a new comprehensive university in the established Texas A&M University System serving students from a culturally diverse and largely non-traditional population. The university was created to address the educational needs in South San Antonio and surrounding areas. The current enrollment is approximately 6,500.

Qualifications

Education

Necessary Qualifications: Master's or Doctorate degree from a regionally accredited institution. 18 graduate hours in the field in which candidate will teach.

Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates who hold a doctorate or a relevant professional credential that is current.

Experience

Necessary Qualifications: College or University teaching experience. Evidence of teaching excellence.
Familiarity with non-traditional commuter University setting preferred. Experience working with culturally diverse populations preferred.
