Position Title Assistant Registrar (Two Positions)

The Assistant Registrar for evaluation reports to the Associate Registrar and is responsible for all aspects of degree evaluation for a caseload of students for three graduations per academic year.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review of graduation applicants' Degreeworks audits. Apply credit adjustments, exceptions and waivers as needed.
- Communicate with students regarding process and needs
- Confer degrees upon completion.
- Maintain positive communications with students, faculty, advisors, academic department chairs
- Run COGNOS reports to pull applicants
- Perform data entry functions as requested including data entry of transfer work, update of student records and statuses
- Assist with registration and other office activities as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate is an organized and detail-oriented problem solver who works well in a fast-paced team environment and in high-volume situations. Previous customer service experience as well as excellent communication skills are required.
Qualifications & Requirements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
Bachelor's degree and 1 -3 years' experience working in a college registrar's office. Familiarity with FERPA and general registrar's office operations. Experience working with Ellucian Banner, Degreeworks and COGNOS reporting preferred. Experience working with MS Office products required. Experience working collaboratively with students, faculty, academic department chairs, Associate Deans. Ability to handle multiple priorities and demonstrate effect time management. Ability to work well in a team setting.
Commensurate with experience.
