Summary of Job Duties
The Event Setup Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the setup logistics for all events held in the Arkansas Union. This position coordinates the use of Union furniture and equipment, ensures event space is set up according to setup reports, greets customers, provides audio-visual support, resolves problems and complaints, maintains event inventory, and suggests new equipment and furniture to purchase. This position supervises a team of hourly student workers and is responsible for training, scheduling, and delegating tasks to that team to ensure all events are successful.
Regular, reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

- The formal education equivalent of a bachelor's degree in public relations, theater arts, or related field
- At least one year of experience coordinating special events or promotions or related area

Work Schedule Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (schedule may vary based on department needs with occasional late night/weekends)
