The Department of Otolaryngology is seeking a Registered Nurse to assist providers with in-office procedures using sterile procedure guidelines to ensure non-contamination of sterile field.

Set up appropriate surgical instrument trays. Assist Laryngologist with laser procedures, TNE and Pharyngoesophageal procedures.

Room patients, obtain vital signs, obtain full medical history, perform medication reconciliation, review of systems and other pertinent information. Chaperone visit as needed and assists the providers.

Administer injections and medications, dress wounds and incisions, interpret providers instructions and perform related tasks as directed.

Provide patient teaching in preparation for tests and/or procedures. Monitor rooms for effective use, keep rooms stocked and supplied. Oversee and assist specific areas including but not limited to HLD, telephone triage, Allergy and patient test results, appointment schedule review and all other duties as assigned.
