The University of Kentucky, Office of the President seeks an Executive Assistant to provide senior level administrative support to the President and Chief of Staff. This position will be the liaison between the President and the Board of Trustees and will provide professional support to the Board of Trustees and Committees. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: coordinating and managing all Board of Trustee meetings, materials, and retreats; composing minutes, agendas, and action items with the Provost, Executives, and University administrators; preparing announcements of Board and committee meetings; maintaining the Board of Trustee website; preparing materials and files for University Archives; coordinating Board members' participation at events and Swearing in Ceremony and orientation for new Board members; serve as the liaison and primary contact with the Council on Postsecondary Education and Association of Governing Boards. This position will be responsible for project management and be the system administrator for the Director's Desk system and backup coordinator for the Risk Management and Executive Compliance Committees. This role will contribute to continuous improvement efforts as well as ensure compliance with the University's Governing and Administrative Regulations and policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements

The physical requirements for this position include regularly utilizing a computer workstation for extended periods of time with repetitive motion (such as typing); occasionally pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects up to 50lbs; and communicating effectively with individuals at various levels across the University.



Shift

Primarily days (i.e. 8am-5pm). Please be aware that this is an exempt position and may require additional work hours during the evening, weekend, etc. to accomplish work goals.



Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of collegiate organizational structure and complexity and have project management experience. We are seeking an individual with high attention to detail who is customer service oriented and possesses strong organizational/planning, interpersonal communication, and problem solving skills. This individual will be a collaborative team-player with the ability to effectively manage confidential information and have a strong respect for Diversity and Inclusion.
