Position Summary

This position is responsible for the oversight of student and temporary/on-call administrative processes for the division of Residential and Hospitality Services, including EBS forms and reporting, and data analysis of student hiring and employee data; serves as a system administrator for People Admin applicant tracking software used for student and temporary/on-call hiring, including super-user functions, trouble-shooting of system issues/errors, training of end users and serving as liaison with software vendor; plans and executes recruitment events and activities, with division and campus partners; serves as chair of Robert C. Underwood scholarship committee and coordinates the application and selection processes; develops and implements student team member appreciation initiatives; drafts and updates student job descriptions and content for the jobs.rhs.msu.edu website; oversees and/or supervises designated student staff.  

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills

Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in human resources, a related social science field, or a field related to the operations of the department; six months to one year of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in a human resources function or an area related to departmental operations; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Desired Qualifications

Experience with PeopleAdmin applicant tracking software, Microsoft Office suite and EBS; previous experience working with student employees.
