General Description of Position:

The Department of English invites applications for an Office Specialist II to provide receptionist and office/clerical support for a large academic department.

Job Description:

The Office Specialist II is responsible for assisting faculty, staff, students, and visitors on a daily basis. Additional duties include assisting the administrative officer with accounting, travel, and purchasing.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

One year of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree. Two or more years’ experience in general office, clerical and administrative support work. Experience communicating effectively both verbally and in writing will contribute to success in this position. Successful use of independent judgment, professional etiquette, organizational skills, and multi-tasking skills preferred.

Salary Range / Pay Rate:

Please note: the minimum salary for this position is $12.63/hr. Actual salary will be determined based on the candidate's experience, education, internal equity and departmental funding. Salary offers are typically made between the minimum and midpoint of the salary range. The range indicated includes both the typical hiring range and potential future progression.
