Job Summary:

The School of Management at the University of San Francisco seeks applicants for a tenure-
track faculty position in the Department of Business Analytics and Information Systems. A large majority of courses are taught in San Francisco, although candidates will also be expected to teach at
USF's regional campuses.
The School of Management offers bachelor and master degree programs in business,
nonprofit, and public administration. Most undergraduate students are based on the Hilltop Campus in Malloy Hall, a modern, purpose-built facility with classrooms, offices, and gathering spaces. Graduate programs are housed in a modernized historic building in the South of Market district, within walking distance of the offices of leading technology and internet companies, San Francisco's thriving tech startup community, and established companies in financial services, retailing, hospitality, and other industries. The School has accreditation from AACSB, NASPAA, and WASC. It is

Job Responsibilities:

Teaching: Candidates must demonstrate strong potential for teaching excellence along with a desire to work in a collaborative, team-teaching setting. The primary teaching responsibilities will be at the intersection of practical operations management, information systems, and business analytics. Skills in operations, process, and information management; fundamentals of coding for business; business
analytics; and/or information systems are desirable.

Business Know-How: It is essential that the candidate have a strong understanding of how technical knowledge is used to create and communicate actionable managerial insight. We prefer candidates with substantial relevant work experience and/or research directly related to the practice of their discipline. The ideal candidate will be motivated to participate in courses and programs that are closely aligned with current business trends.

Scholarship: We seek teacher-scholars with a strong interest in research that is grounded in business practice. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in the use of information systems and data-driven analytics to drive business process change. Candidates must demonstrate potential for an active research agenda.

Minimum Requirements:

The successful candidate must have completed an earned research doctorate in Operations Management, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Management Science, Operations Research, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited university. Applicants who are currently doctoral students must be on course to complete all degree
requirements by May 31, 2018.
