Responsibilities

This position is responsible for the audit, settlement and prompt payment of all items related to University travel, purchase orders, vendor invoices, credit card charges, prepaid cards, cash advances and other invoicing and payment methods in accordance with applicable laws and policies and procedures of Florida State University. Failure to comply with the above creates opportunities for significant loss by the University.
Duties include, but are not limited to: properly apply credits and initiate accounting entries related to all payment types; ensure all financial activity generated is reflected accurately and completely in the University's accounting and all relevant subsystems; communicate with University departments, vendors, Procurement Services, travelers and any other necessary individuals, departments or establishments concerning issue(s) until accurate resolution is reached; monitor email accounts, telephone messages and all other means of communication to handle questions and resolve issues; monitor reports and handle exceptions as they relate to any and all University payments, invoices, charges, travel items, etc.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalency and four years appropriate experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to four years.
Experience in compiling, reviewing, and reconciling data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
Experience and the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) or equivalent software.

Anticipated Salary Range

Mid to upper $20’s.

Pay Plan

This is an USPS (University Support Personnel System) position.
