Assistant or Associate Professor of 20th-Century American Literature, posting ID #16027
The Department of Literature of Claremont McKenna College seeks to fill a position for an assistant or associate professor in 20th-Century American Literature, preferably with a specialization in African-American Literature, to begin Fall 2018. The teaching requirement is four semester courses per year, three literature courses and one first-year writing seminar. Ph.D. should be in hand or expected before the start of AY 2018-19. Our expectation is that the successful candidate will not only show promise and distinction as a scholar, but also excel in teaching and mentoring the talented and diverse student body of Claremont McKenna and the other Claremont Colleges.
