Tenure Track Faculty Position in Production and Operations Management Mount Saint Mary College, rated by U.S. News & World Report as a top-tier regional institution, seeks a conscientious and student-centered educator to serve as a full-time, tenure-track faculty member in Management and Sports Management, starting in the fall of 2018. Candidates should provide evidence of teaching excellence, possess unquestionable integrity, and demonstrate outstanding communication skills. The School of Business is accredited by the IACBE. 

Primary Responsibilities: The faculty member will be required to teach a range of courses and topics such as operations, supply chain management, project planning, quantitative analysis, quality management, data analytics, and management of technology and innovation.

We seek an individual who can maintain and strengthen the prominence that production management plays in our programs, help our students build a strong appreciation for and understanding of the role of production and operations in producing value in an enterprise and who has an interest in working with colleagues to develop programs that include the application of concepts and techniques drawn from production and operations management to specific sectors and industries. Other faculty duties include serving on college-wide committees, conducting scholarly research, and advising and mentoring students.

Qualifications: A doctoral degree in Production and Operations Management or a related field is required, either in hand or in the final stages of completion at time of appointment. Substantial professional experience in production and operations management is preferred. 

 The ideal candidate will be a team player with strong interpersonal skills and a positive disposition who can effectively teach a combination of undergraduate and graduate courses in either a traditional or hybrid format. This candidate would be familiar with and be willing to actively support the mission of Mount Saint Mary College, which provides a liberal arts education in the Catholic and Dominican intellectual tradition.
