Job Description:

Position Summary:

The Chicago School of Professional Psychology seeks a doctoral level faculty member to join our exciting and innovative Department of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) for Fall 2017. We train both masters and doctoral-level professionals by providing the highest quality training in ABA, EAB, and radical behaviorism.

Ideal applicants will express high energy; have proven skills in graduate-level teaching; have a commitment to scholarship and service; be dedicated to preparing excellent future ABA professionals, and have substantial ABA service delivery experience. This position is for our Washington, DC Campus.

Principal Duties:
  • Teach students at a graduate level in topics related to Basic and Applied Behavior
  • Analysis
  • Contribute to curriculum design and departmental development
  • Monitor student learning outcomes and progress
  • Provide clinical and research supervision and academic advisement to ABA students
  • Prepare students to pass the BCBA Exam and to work as independent professionals.
  • Chair and act as reader on thesis and dissertation committees.
  • Interact and communicate successfully with a diverse population.
  • Act in a way that embodies the mission, vision and values of The Chicago School.
  • Adhere to all confidentiality requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by department chair.

  • Thinks critically to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Communicates ideas and information effectively in both vocal and written form.
  • Possesses the ability to adapt to changing circumstances, needs, and demands.
  • Maintains knowledge of local and national training and licensing requirements
  • Understands and has the ability to navigate multiple levels of program hierarchies
  • Possesses computer proficiency in MS Office

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Expertise across multiple ABA areas and skills, such as precision teaching, verbal behavior, discrete trials, CABAS, fluency-building, autism, organizational behavior management, gerontology (Alzheimer's and dementia), and clinical behavior analysis (e.g., Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Functional Analytic Psychotherapy).
  • Strong knowledge base in radical behaviorism

Position Qualifications:
  • Must have current BCBA
  • Must have doctoral degree
  • State licensure
