Position Summary: The Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill requires a full-time Operations Manager in the Healthcare Engineering Division of Radiation Oncology. Under minimal supervision, the Operations Manager will manage implementation and sustainment of quality improvement program infrastructure. Under general supervision, the Operations Manager will manage ongoing development of the software platform that supports the program infrastructure and coordination of research activities related to quality/safety programs.

Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree (preferably Master's) in Health Care Management, Public Health, Industrial Engineering; or related field. Minimum of 3 years health care related experience at management level or higher.
Qualification and Experience: Expertise in project coordination and management is required. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, root cause analysis, and organizational skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills at professional level. Strong interpersonal and networking skills. Demonstrate ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities as well as work and lead in a multidisciplinary team environment. Knowledge of quality and performance improvement methodologies, including Lean Six Sigma, PDSA and A3. Knowledge of statistical and analytical techniques, particularly as they relate to quality measurement and improvement. Knowledge of health care industry, and quality monitoring and improvement principles and procedures. Lean Six Sigma experience and training.
