Position Summary: The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Eshelman School of Pharmacy is recruiting for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in the Division of Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy. This individual will also have an affiliation with the Carolina Health Informatics Program. The Carolina Health Informatics Program draws on faculty members from seven core units on campus, namely the School of Medicine, School of Public Health, School of Nursing, School of Information and Library Science, School of Pharmacy, School of Dentistry, and the College of Arts and Sciences. There are collaborations and research initiatives on clinical decision support, user-system interaction, clinical workflows, quality improvement, system adoption and change management, secondary analysis of health data, and patient-centered outcomes. The ability to participate in a collegial environment that fosters ongoing collaboration with faculty from a wide variety of disciplines is essential.

Application Deadline:

Education Requirements: PhD or MD with training in epidemiology and/or informatics, experience in database and data warehouse development and analytics. Demonstrated track record of success or the potential to achieve success in obtaining research funding, and a peer-reviewed publication record.

Qualification and Experience: Preference will be given to candidates with: (a) expertise in the area of health informatics with a focus on pharmaceutical outcomes, (b) a strong funding record in health informatics and pharmaceutical outcomes, and (c) peer reviewed publications focusing on health informatics and pharmaceutical outcomes. Successful candidates will be expected to develop and maintain an extramurally funded research program, provide professional and graduate student instruction, and participate in the Carolina Health Informatics Program as the Eshelman School of Pharmacy representative.
