Job Summary This position is the front line contact assisting students, maintaining the UGA Centers Abroad (UGA at Oxford, UGA Cortona, and UGA Costa Rica) student files, aiding in the collection of application and materials, and helping with event planning. The position is also responsible for assisting the Centers Coordinator with recruitment efforts. The person in this position must be able to interpret and implement program procedures and policies; counsel students and their parents by providing technical guidance and problem resolution for those taking part in the UGA Centers Abroad programs; and provide this information to student and other stakeholders via face-to-face appointments, email, telephone calls and/or faxes. The position provides administrative support to the entirety of the UGA Centers Abroad unit and reports directly to the Residential Center Coordinator, Office of International Education. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree required. Strong written and oral communication skills, including: * Ability to prepare and present workshops for students and faculty * Ability to prepare promotional materials related to study abroad Proficiency in PC based software: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access Strong organizational and administrative skills Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work in a professional and collegial capacity with students, administrators and faculty Prior study or work abroad experience; experience with event planning helpful Attention to detail
